Professionally produced and edited, Leatherneck Reconnect is a raw, authentic, and feel-good saga that brings joy to marines and other veterans who have lost a sense of brotherhood and/or have trouble adjusting to civilian life once their time of service has ended. Leatherneck Reconnect has gained quite a following, with over 5,000 likes on Facebook and over a whopping 19,000 subscribers on YouTube.

in Episode 11, combat vets Josh Parish and Joe Riker sit down with Kristi and Ed to talk a little about how and why they started the Livingston County Vet Fest: a free annual event for all veterans and their families to enjoy live music, eat, drink, play games, win prizes, and most importantly, learn about their VA benefits that can help save them thousands of dollars. Although 2019 was only Vet Fest's second year, over 2,800 veterans and family members attended this August, making it one of the largest veteran events in Michigan this year!

The two heroes also talk about other events and fundraisers they have planned for vets in 2019 with their up-and-coming non-profit organization, Vet Life!

Dave Denhardt is a retired soldier from the United States Marine Corps and the Army National Guard. In 2012, while serving in Afghanistan, his camp was hit by several rockets, causing him to have a traumatic brain injury. Despite wanting to stay with his fellow soldiers, he was ordered to go back to the U.S.

Despite having a litany of disablements, Dave continues to raise money and awareness for various veteran and disabled veteran programs. He started the Motor City Veterans Hockey Association (MCVHA), which provides "veterans and family members of all experience and ability the opportunity to develop their hockey skills and take part in outreach activities."

Dave is also involved with the Wounded Warrior Project, which is a charity and veterans service organization that offers a variety of programs, services and events for wounded veterans of the military actions following September 11, 2001.

Dave has a lovely wife, daughter and service dog. He lives in Shelby Township, Michigan.
